In New Jersey, and most other states, the rights to self determine how you’re to be treated when you become seriously ill is very important.  Living Wills or an Advanced Directive for Healthcare is a very important document.  Living Wills or an Advanced Directive for Healthcare is a very important document to accompany your Will.

A Living Will permits you to decide what, if any forms of treatment you desire if you become extremely ill.  These include suffering from an irreversible illness, life support systems, terminal illness, life support systems, terminal illness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the like.

With a Living Will, you select the person you desire to act on your behalf for other healthcare decisions.  Your Living Will speaks for you and covers the hiring of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals as well as decisions regarding treatment at home or in a facility.
